The most important lens for Natalie Hart Photography is our portrait lens. We have had the pleasure to use quite a few including the Nikon 300mm 2.8, 200mm F2, 105mm DC F2, 85mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4, 70-200mm 2.8, and 24-70mm 2.8.
The 300mm 2.8 was the largest lens that we have used yet, but also produced my favorite look! This lens we rented from Picture Line for a couple week to do some work for a photo contest. This lens weighs 6.3 pounds and has a close focusing distance of 7 feet, but with the VR you are still able to hand hold it. The long focal length and 11 elements of glass produces beautiful compression and amazing bokeh.

Our next biggest portrait lens that we have used is the 200mm F2. This lens has always been Dan's dream lens. We finally decided to buy this lens in late 2010, and it was every bit as amazing as we would have hoped. This lens weighs 6.5 pounds and has a close focus distance of just over 6 feet. With the 13 glass elements it is one of the sharpest Nikon lenses that you can buy.
